Terms of service

These terms cover the AppPulse service at https://getapppulse.com.

You only scan what you are allowed to scan

The free scan requests public URLs and public DNS records. It does not log in, submit forms, or change data. You may scan a URL only if you own it, operate it, or have permission from the owner to test it. Do not use AppPulse to probe sites you do not have authorization to test.

Scheduled monitoring

Daily scans and uptime checks run only for apps on a paid plan after you verify control of the domain. Verification is a DNS TXT record, a meta tag, or a file we can fetch. You can remove an app at any time, which stops future checks.

What the report is

Findings are outside-in observations, written so you can act on them. They are not a penetration test, a certification, or a promise that the app is secure. A clean report means we did not see the issues we know how to see. It does not mean there are no others.

Accounts and payment

You are responsible for the activity on your account. Paid plans are monthly subscriptions processed by Stripe. You can cancel in the Stripe customer portal. Access to scheduled monitoring ends when the subscription is no longer active. Fees already paid are not refunded except where required by law.

Acceptable use

Do not use the scanner to attack, disrupt, or overload a system, to bypass access controls, or to collect data from sites you are not allowed to test. We rate-limit the free scan and refuse targets that are not public websites.

The service can change

We may change checks, limits, and prices. Price changes apply to the next billing period. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms. The service is provided as available, without a warranty that a scan or an email will arrive at a particular minute.
